Buy & Sell Side Traders | Portfolio Managers | Investment Counselors
PSA Membership includes all facets of the business including registered traders, portfolio managers and investment counselors. Approximately 40% of our membership is employed by “buy side”, institutions such as banks, trust companies, insurance companies and advisory firms. The balance of our membership consists of, “sell side”, analysts, traders and brokers from the brokerage industry. We also have press members.

Benefits of Membership:
All of the events listed below are included with your PSA Membership:
Luncheon Meetings – The PSA hosts approximately 25 luncheons each year and are held at some of the top private clubs and restaurants in Philadelphia and the nation. At a recent board meeting, we calculate that the value derived from membership is almost 10 times that of the annual dues.
Annual Meeting and Elections – We hold our annual meeting and elections as close to October 29th each year. This event is traditionally held at the Union League of Philadelphia. This all-inclusive event begins with our business session and is then followed by a cocktail reception and top notch dinner. It’s a wonderful opportunity to mingle and meet other members from throughout the investment community.
Summer Outing – Our summer outing is another top notch event. We usually have a preliminary event prior to the dinner, primarily a golf event or, maybe some sailing on the Delaware. (The golf itself is not included in the PSA membership fee)
Social Events – We have events throughout the year where we are raising awareness of the PSA to those who are unfamiliar with our organization. We may have a Spring Social, a Friend Raising Happy Hour or Holiday Party. These events are an excellent opportunity to gather with friends and other PSA members.
The PSA membership is only open to 400 members. At this time we are presently accepting applications for membership. Once we are at capacity, there will then be a waiting list. As the financial services/investment industry undergoes tremendous changes, so too does our membership. Come join the PSA and be a part of the change. There will be many opportunities to stand out and become a member or leader of a committee, the board of governors or run for an officer position.

PSA Member News Update
Members: Along with our new website, we are introducing a new membership management system, Smart Trakker, to help us communicate more effectively and grow our organization.
On our home page, at the top, click on “Member Access”. A little ways down, there will be a light blue box that says “Create or Recover Password”. Click on that box and a new box will show up. Put your email address in and then click the dark blue box to the immediate right that says “Reset or Create New Password”. This will cause an email to be sent to your inbox from Smart Trakker LLC. It takes about 5 minutes before you get the email. The email will have a link, “Password Recovery Link” and an ACCESS CODE. Click the link, enter the code, put in the password you want and confirm, then you’re all set.
Please do not hesitate to contact Deborah Rounick below on this page with any questions about this process.
We are looking forward to an exciting year of great programs and events!

Career: After the charter for the First Bank of the United States expired in 1811, Girard purchased most of its stock as well as the building and its furnishings on South Third Street in Philadelphia and opened his own bank, variously known as Girard Bank. Girard was the sole proprietor of his bank, and thus avoided the Pennsylvania state law which prohibited an unincorporated association of persons from establishing a bank, and required a charter from the legislature for a banking corporation.
“I earned my place in hisotry in Philadelphia with a focus on banking and charity! If I were alive today, I would be a proud member of the PSA!”
